From uploaded file to the right folder

An n8n workflow that reads a destination path, creates date based folders, and routes files into SharePoint.

MY ROLE

I built the n8n workflow. The upstream system owned retries and additional failure handling.

The problem

Uploaded files needed to reach the correct SharePoint location automatically, including new folders based on the file's date.

Accepted the uploaded file and a destination path supplied as JSON through an endpoint.
Parsed the file name and date, checked whether a new date based folder was needed, and created it when required.
Stored the file in SharePoint and returned processing errors to the calling endpoint.

Automate file placement while letting the calling system manage retry and failure logic.

WHAT CHANGED

Automated destination handling, folder creation, and file placement with errors returned to the upstream system.

CONNECTED EXPERIENCE

Field mapping and validation for healthcare member and eligibility files, with a clear stop and correction process.

Connected Zendesk activity with CRM accounts to show which customers needed more support, training, or attention.

An automated intake workflow that asked the missing questions before a support rep picked up the ticket.
